Peak is peaked

Although the woods are gorgeous these days, we're not having the brilliant color we usually have.  Colors are a bit muted this year, that leads to a lot of complaints from locals and leaf peepers but I just enjoy the colors.

The last of my summer friends left yesterday, back to Michigan they went.  Now the 'hood is quiet--there's just one of my Plattsburgh friends who summers here, though other friends are here.  They come throughout the year and since both are retired they're spending much more time here.  We go to the gym together most mornings, now that it's too dark to walk the bog early in the day.

It's a rainy day today but nice and warm, temp is now 58.  Since it was 29 the other morning I'm just wallowing in the the warmth.  I'm up now because Bear said he needed, NEEDED to go out then have a snack when he came in.  Treasure is amenable to any time spent outside and especially any time there's food in her bowl.

No big plans for the week, today is dump day and I have a big load to take.  Wednesday I take Bear to Plattsburgh to have his staples removed and I promised a friend I would at last have my shingles shot while I'm in town.  I need to have my pneumonia shot and flu shots as well but that will come later.  Just fill me full of holes.

Next weekend is Columbus Day, the final celebration.  There will be plenty of people here and the weather looks pretty good, not too cold and even some sunshine.  There will be color left for visitors.

Life is good.  Thrift store, Archives, gym, friends, dogs, good weather.
