This is the end of fall color at Silver Lake. It's really, really pretty. Just the poplars are left--the green is the conifers. I went to camp on Sunday afternoon to close up the boathouse. Can you believe I waited this long? I usually wait until it's really cold and I have to wear a jacket. This year, it was 70 and sunny and a wonderful day. It doesn't take long to do, maybe an hour--clean the kitchen part, empty the fridge, put towels & blankets away, move furniture inside, put stuff away, remove dirty dishes--DON'T FORGET TO DO THIS, the way I did last year.
Anyway, I had a good time sitting on the porch looking at the color. I like this last hurrah.
