I took this picture this morning. It's from my regular vantage point looking up the Saranac River. The river is frozen solid in most spots now. It was -19 this morning. Yesterday's high was -5 in my neighborhood. Yes, March is cruel, but the consolation is that April will come next and the snow will begin to melt and there will eventually be tiny leaves on the trees. And my primroses and crocuses will bloom. Hard to believe that will ever happen, but based on history I have to have faith I'll see it again. I never used to believe in the future, but I'm feeling better these days and look forward to months to come.
