This is what Silver Lake looks like from the foot of the lake right now--a vast white desert. It's very pretty but sure doesn't look spring-like at all. I haven't been down on the lake at all. First I thought the ice wasn't thick enough, then we had the big blizzard on Valentine's Day so now there's 2' of snow and it's too hard to get to it. As that wise old prophet Mick Jagger says, you can't always get what you want.
