Looking down Narragansett Bay to the Atlantic Ocean. That's Beavertail Point. There's an old military fort there (wait, is there another kind of fort?) because during WWII Rhode Island (like everywhere else) they set up posts to watch for German submarines. I think they found one, too. Anyway, it's a pretty strange place, all concrete bunkers with strange rooms. I love the way the government builds these structures then just leaves them behind without any explanation or map or details.
