We had a blizzard--an actual meterologically diagnosed blizzard on Wednesday. It snowed for a whole day and we got something more than 2 feet in Hawkeye. Neither Ken nor I measured it, which was strange, but I think we just don't really care how much it is when it gets to be that much. We already had at least a foot on the ground. It's just really, really inconvenient when there's that much snow. The dogs broke trail to the birdfeeder but not to the wood shed or the wood pile. This is what Tess looked like when she came in from the blizzard. The library was closed so I spent the day at home, letting the dogs in and out. And in and out. About 50 times during the day.
At least it was cold, -7 in the morning and only up to 5 during the day, so the snow is a fine powder and therefore easier to shovel.
