My mother had a thing for blue snow: she liked the time of day, just at dusk when the light turned the snow blue. That's when this picture was taken. This is Tess, included for scale. That's the pile of snow on my deck that I've made so far this winter by shoveling part of the path to the steps. I don't like it when I have to throw the snow UP while I shovel.
