Actual leaves
I have to drive 30 miles to see this, actual leaves on poplar trees. There is just the faintest hint of green, just the barest suggestion of what Bill calles "the green haze" where I live, but it's coming, I can feel it. I'm glad it hasn't arrived yet, I love to savor spring. This is from the view I get driving down the hill in West Plattsburgh into the city. This morning there was bright, hot sunshine in all the world except for the City of Plattsburgh. Because it's on the shore of Lake Champlain and the lake hasn't yet warmed up, Pbg was encased in this suffocating fog that reached the tops of the trees. It was incredible to see from the hill driving down. Anyway, this is spring green.
