Home of the Holts
Progress is being made. The footers were poured late last week. Footers are not tiny feet, they are the part of the building that the cellar walls are attached to. They are concrete forms with re-rod (reinforced rods) in the middle for stability. First you pour the footers, then you let them cure for a few days, then you pour the cellar walls, then you can actually start building the house. Rush called me Sat. night and asked if I would inspect the work. Sure, I said, but what do I really know about footers? Yes, they are there. They look fine to me, the way I think they are supposed to. So today I will send him the pictures I took and he can see for himself what his $300,000 home is starting to look like.
