I found the tallest of the 3 (I think) remaining spruce trees that Jamie and I planted about 12 years ago. We planted 25. The town plowed about 6 of them under when they created (for some reason) a big open space at the end of my driveway. This is not an attractive tree, but it was 6" high when we planted it. It's now about 4' high. Not a fast grower. The other two are only about 2 1/2-3 feet high. This is not a satisfactory project, but I think it's pretty foolish to plant trees where I live anyway.
